…Two more movies geared toward Christian audiences are opening this season. Obsession and Somebody’s Daughter are being marketed directly to church groups and evangelical audiences, though apart from that, the two movies don’t have all that much in common.
Obsession, which releases this week, is about the threat of radical Islam. Said to be an “insider’s view,” the film employs footage directly from Arab TV, and examines the hateful teachings of Muslim terrorist groups and the threat they post to Western culture. Released by Pure Flix, the movie is available on DVD this week, and can also be viewed online for a small fee. The trailer is available at the official website, and Pure Flix is offering promotional screenings for churches and additional resources for pastors.
The movie, which has been showcased on CNN and Fox News, is also scheduled to appear on various Christian TV stations.
