The Iran Foreign Investment Company is scheduled to hold talks with the World Bank on receiving facilities for the implementation of eight new projects in the country in the near future, IFIC official Mohammadreza Pakbaz said here on Friday.“We might discuss the implementation of all or some of the projects with the World Bank,” Pakbaz added.

He stated that Iran will discuss further cooperation with the World Bank at the IMF and World Bank summit in Washington next week.At the moment, Iran is implementing nine World Bank-facilitated projects valued at $1.365 billion, including water treatment and water management projects in Shiraz, Ahvaz, and Tehran and the reconstruction of Bam, he added.The World Bank prepares a Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) for active borrowers from the International Development Association (IDA) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
