Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz urged Muslims in Britain to be honest and upright Muslims and worthy British citizens. “I should like to take this opportunity to call upon our Muslim brethren living in Britain to be honest and upright Muslims and worthy British citizens, striving to build and construct so that they may convey the true image of the principles of Islam – those eternal principles of love, mercy and moderation.” King Abdullah made these remarks in his speech at the banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace here yesterday. The king arrived here on Monday on a state visit, the first by a Saudi king in 20 years, on the first leg of a European tour, which will also take him to Italy, Germany and Turkey

… In his speech King Abdullah said: “I would like to highlight the sense of tolerance that the British people have. The British people are tolerant of all ethnicities, religions and colors.”…I am confident, we will find from the government of Your Majesty, every help to end the tragedy suffered by our Palestinian brethren through genuine peace that can protect the rights of all parties on the basis of justice and international legitimacy resolutions,” he said.
